SHADES OF SPACES #1

Live performance at the French Pavilion for Venice Architecture Biennale 2018, “Infinite Spaces”

Before thinking about architectural space we need to know our inner space, the one we lived in first. To know the extent, the reliefs, the climates and the limits, the origin of the rhythms which animate us and how our vital breath circulates... Once this topography and these ecosystems are mapped, and after a long wandering, a dialogue begins to be established with the space-world, here materialized by the white canvas, abstract, infinite. The intimate space is then scrutinised and venous ink networks are emerging.

IN SITU # Shades of Spaces offers a poetic reflection on the in-habitation of the different worlds we are passing through… a plastic intersection that redefines the place where the work will be exhibited.

The canvas once completed will exist in three spaces previously separated, the internal one reactivated with each vision (Zen space), that of the material work that will move from the horizontal of its creation to the vertical of its exposure and that of its implementation. space become possible by the architectural structure of reception.

Architecture is then thought of as a world-space defined by what inhabits it, what gives it and its legitimacy, and its identity. It’s raison d’être.
